Water and Sanitation Project in Vanni Region, Sri Lanka

To assist with disease prevention by providing clean water and proper sanitation facilities to communities recovering from the aftermath of the long civil war in Sri Lanka, by:
Determining the water and sanitation constraints in the Vanni area,
Repairing and renovating wells that had been damaged during the war. The displaced families settled in the chosen areas will be consulted to determine specific locations and priorities. Water quality testing will be done.
Constructing toilets for people who have been resettled and lack toilet facilities., with disabled access.
Conducting awareness workshops among the public on sanitation and the importance of hygienic habits.
